Over the past 5 years, established musicians Beata Robins and Oscar Carralero have combined their soulful voices to form Serenata. Oscar is the musical director, singer and guitarist of “Banda Serenata” which includes many of Sydney’s most accomplished and established Latin musicians. The group has performed at all the major Latin American festivals in Sydney and has been a regular feature as a duo/trio/quartet at The Cuban Place (The city, Sydney), Jam gallery (Bondi Junction), Coco Cubano (University of New South Wales), El Bulli Spanish Tapas restaurant (Surry Hills) and regularly plays at private and corporate events. The duo/trio consists of Beata on percussion and vocals, Oscar Carralero on Guitar, Tres and Vocals, and Juan Andres Mulet on Bass and percussion. Serenata’s repertoire contains a mix of Cha Cha Cha, traditional Cuban Son, Bolero, Merengue and Bachata, which caters to the needs of low key background music, as well as a more upbeat party atmosphere
