Reigan Derry

Reigan Derry has in her short time in the music industry achieved great heights. She is currently this years top 3 finalist for the X Factor, the songstress from Western Australia enthralled the masses when she performed on Australian idol, and with a fan base amassing, was approached by media giant and radio icon Kyle sandilands to start her career in urban pop duo, Scarlett Belle.

 

The Perth born songstress began singing in her early years, encouraged by those around her began to take on classical lessons at the age of 14. Progressing very quickly, she was soon accepted into Perth Modern School of the Arts, where she completed a music scholarship majoring in voice.

 

During highschool, Reigan had already worked with the acclaimed West Australian Symphony Orchestra, also featured as an understudy in The King and I at the Regal Theatre, all sell-out shows. Fresh out of high-school and thirsty for more opportunities, she auditioned for Australian Idol, making the top 12 and competing against artists such as Jessica Mauboy, Damien Leith, Lisa Mitchell and Dean Geyer.

 

At age 18 she moved to Sydney to pursue a pop career with band, Scarlett Belle. Based between Los Angeles and Sydney, Scarlett Belle worked on their debut album with the likes of Ne-Yo, Snoop Dogg, JR Rotem (Britney Spears, Rihanna, Jason Derulo, 50 Cent), Nate Dogg and production team Stargate (Rihanna, Beyonce, Chris Brown), as well as acclaimed Australian producers Rudy and Israel.

 

Now with the knowledge of the music industry, Reigan finds herself in all aspects of music. Writing and releasing tracks through a number of record labels (Including “A Night To Remember with Dj Minx – EMI & “Body” by Israel Cruz – Ministry of Sound), as well as performing shows all over Australia. Having skills on guitar and piano, Reigan is comfortable on any stage, whether a quiet cocktail bar, a pumping nightclub or a stadium of thousands.

 

Reigan has performed with the likes of Jimmy Barnes, Deisel, Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian and regularly performs with The Groove Academy. With a residency performing at Ivy Pool on Thursday nights, Reigan has quickly become one of Sydney’s most sought after singers.

 

In 2014 Reigan Derry returns to our TV screens again as a contestant on Channel Seven’s The X-Factor
