Marc Malouf
MARC MALOUF is one of Australia's great guitarists and is a rising star of the world music stage. As well as being a well seasoned International Session Guitarist and Vocalist, he is also an award winning Music Producer, accomplished Songwriter, Musical Director and original Artist.
Marc has established an exciting and forever expanding career writing, co-producing and playing alongside artists including Hook n Sling, Kylie Minogue, Kaskade, Sia, Slash, Namie Amuro, Inna, Chris Brown, One Direction, The Scissor Sisters, Machine Gun Fellatio, Boom Crash Opera, Evermore, The Potbelleez, Tonight Only, Mel B, Ricki Lee, Samantha Jade, Timo-matic, Reigan Derry, Nathaniel and Groove Terminator amongst others.
After graduating with a Bachelors Degree of Contemporary Music in 2008, Marc started his musical career playing with bands in Sydney, including Machine Gun Fellatio. Eventually his skills as a guitarist were noticed and he began doing sessions for some of the countries top electronic artists and production houses. He then made the step from session work to co-writing and co-producing dance tracks alongside Dance artists and producers. His first 2 releases showcased his playing and co-production on Boom Crash Opera's hit "The Best Thing" remade by Hook n Sling, then on the Potbelleez hit "Are You With Me".
From there, the doors flung open andopportunities started to arise to work with some of the world's biggest pop stars. After a 6 year affair working as a co-producer and co-writer, Marc decided it was time to go solo and in 2014 he started up his own production business.
Recent works have included writing, arranging and producing music for the upcoming feature film "Safe Neighbourhood" as well as writing, producing and performing the theme song "Sign Me Up" for the multi-award winning short film "The Answers", singing and performing on an award winning Domain commercial and the new 2016 Qantas in-flight video, performing, co-writing and co-producing Groove Terminators latest hit "Feels Like it Should" and producing and co-writing the debut album for a rising Australian electro/pop star Lucy Neville, who has had great success overseas with International acclaim from well respected international music bloggers predicting Lucy to be the rising electro/pop star of Australia.
Lucy has been Teen Vogue Artist of the month in the US as well as international Vevo Artist of the Week and continues to gain more attention with her constant airplay and online support. Lucy's single "Lady" has recently won the 2015 Songs Alive Australia song competition, of which Marc co-wrote and produced. Marc is currently working on his own Debut Album showcasing his guitar prowess and the best of his songwriting.
Marc's eclectic, diverse and tasteful approach to songwriting and production has forged a strong future in the music industry.
