Based in Sydney, Dave Jackson (aka saxtapes) is a young, energetic, passionate and highly professional saxophonist / DJ who loves to perform and make people happy.
Dave has toured extensively throughout Australia, NZ and Asia with a variety of line-ups in a variety of styles. As a recording artist, Dave has featured on numerous albums both as sideman and leader including albums recorded in New York and Japan.
Dave has been nominated and shortlisted for a variety of awards, including being a two-time finalist in the National Jazz Awards and nominee in the Bell Awards and Freedman Fellowship.
Dave is one of Sydney’s most in-demand party saxophonist / DJ’s working regularly with numerous reputable agencies including The Groove Academy; QCENT; Rutherford Entertainment; Martini Club; Bermuda Social; Play Agency; La Fiesta Sound System; The White Tree and more.
