Cassette’s infectious, trademark fusion of funk, tech and house has gained her residencies and guest spots at some of the best clubs and festivals around the world.
2012 has been a whirlwind year for Cassette. In September she beat thousands of competitors to make it into the Top 10 of EMI’S International SCDJ comp which resulted in worldwide press and a national tour performing shows across the country. Since then she has also gained residency at notorious club nights PACHA and SPICE, a sponsorship deal with International fashion label Sass & Bide, as well as touring Asia and USA for the 3rd year in a row.
As the accolades pile up her global exposure continues to grow. Her mixes have been featured on radio stations, websites and blogs around the world, resulting in club and festival gigs in Los Angeles, New York, Dubai, San Diego, Orange County, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore.
From swanky parties at New York Fashion Week to gritty underground havens, Cassette has supported huge names like The Chemical Brothers, John Digweed, Soul Clap, Infinity Ink, Mario Basanov, Claude Von Stroke, DJ T, Jacques Renault, Cut Copy, Hot Chip, Aeroplane, Gilles Peterson, Jesse Rose and Lee Foss.
Now venturing deeper into the world of production Cassette has been working hard in the studio. Her first remix of Jamaica – Van She (Modular) is now available for free download via Soundcloud and her debut track Greetings Earthlings is scheduled for release in the coming months.
And with many other exciting projects in the pipeline I’d advise you to stay tuned because Cassette is worth the hype!
